Trendy or Risky?

From living in the trendy metropolitan city of Dallas I have felt the pressures of looking good and stylish. I now am immediatly attracted by designer clothes, and think twice before stuffing my face with sweets. I also know that I am sometimes guilty of being obsessed with working out and staying in shape. However, there is one very popular thing here that I will never do and that is sit in a tanning bed. I have very fair skin and I would LOVE to have a nice tan, especially in the winter, but I refuse to go. The risks involved with a tanning bed heavily outweigh the look. I have seen how other blonde light-skinned woman, like myself, look after they've been tanning for 15 years... like old leather bags! More importantly though, your risk of skin cancer rises so dramatically by baking in those beds, it's crazy to intentionally put your body through that!
