After taking the Multiple Intelligences test, I was not surprised to find that my result was primarily Interpersonal intelligence. Being able to read a people's (even complete strangers) body language and facial expressions is one of the few things I can say I am really good at. Listening to others is also something I'm fond of doing and think I'm good at as well.
This past year I have become addicted to the show Intervention on A&E. The show documents addicts, mostly drug addicts, alcoholics, and people with eating disorders. After watching so many episodes I have a sense of which addicts are going to relapse after treatment and which ones will stay sober. I can also sometimes get a feel before they tell the camera whether the person has been abused or gone through a traumatic period as a child.
I have put thought into becoming a counselor when I am older, but I don't think I could handle that amount of responsibility of another person's life on my shoulders. Luckily, going into the field of advertising also requires a sense of knowing what people think and feel.
